About the position
The Driveway Grading Assistant is a part of the operations team and assists the Grading Operator(s) in providing driveway / road maintenance and repair. Dirt Cheap Driveways, Inc. works on both residential driveways and private access roads. This position is responsible for manual labor support as needed.
Requirements
Seasonal: position is contracted as needed. Mon – Fri. April through November.
Operates in an outdoor environment. Must be able to withstand reasonable weather conditions such as summer heat and fall and spring temperatures.
Provide support during remote driveway grading / construction projects.
Running errands during remote road construction / grading operations.
Providing manual labor such as raking road materials, digging with hand tools, walking extended distances from driveways to the company truck, toting equipment to and from the job site and helping secure equipment to hauling trailer.
Occasionally interacting with driveway customers regarding their projects.
Traveling to and from projects and the equipment lot.
Show dependability for early morning starting times.
Collaborate well in a team operation.
Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and ability for working near heavy equipment.
Occasionally provide safety and traffic control operations.
Must have a strong work ethic.
Able to take specific instruction.
Ability to multitask and work effectively in a team environment
Understanding of heavy equipment environment a plus.
Will train on the job if necessary.
